The heavy asterisk (✱)

I recently learned about the “heavy asterisk” (✱) from the Forever Notes note-taking framework, and I think I’m in love with it.

It’s the perfect mark for “main” pages, like my home page. So that’s the rule now: anything important gets the ✱. If I make collection pages down the line, like blog posts by tag, they’ll get one too.

Something to note: the font I’m using (Inter) renders it more like a light asterisk. It looks much heavier, and nicer, in JetBrains Mono: ✱.
